Duane’s musical journey began in the twelfth grade as a member of the Manna High School Choir, where his powerful voice first caught the attention of those around him. His passion for music led him to Iowa Wesley College, where he continued to hone his craft in the college choir. As Duane’s vocal prowess developed, he quickly became known for his unique ability to effortlessly blend soul and rock influences, delivering performances that were both emotionally raw and technically precise.

After college, Duane’s voice continued to shine as he performed with a variety of bands across Colorado and Northern California. His distinctive, rich baritone — with a smooth, almost velvety quality — set him apart in the music scene. His range spans from deep, resonant lows to soaring, soulful highs, captivating audiences with every note. His dynamic delivery and passionate performances made him a standout in every group he worked with.

Duane’s musical career reached new heights when he and his bandmates opened for industry legends such as Alexander O’Neal, Frank Zappa, and the iconic Roger and Less Oskar of War. His ability to adapt to different musical styles and genres has earned him a reputation as a versatile and compelling performer.

Beyond his musical talents, Duane is also an accomplished actor, having shared the screen with legendary performers like Stella Stevens and Debbie Allen in the acclaimed production The Women of San Quentin. Whether on stage or on screen, Duane’s commanding presence and voice leave an unforgettable impression, making him a true multifaceted artist.
